MovableType移管に対する問題
ホスティング先を変更するため、MovableTypeも引越ししようとしましたが、簡単にはいきませんでした。一番の問題が、データベースの移行です。本サイトは古いバージョン3.171を使っており、データベースもDB_File（Berkeley）でしたので、単にDBファイルを新規ホスティングにコピーすればできると思っていたところ、新ホスティング先のBerkeleyのバージョンが新しく、DBファイルに互換性が無いためにアクセスすることができませんでした。

たまたまこのエントリー見ましたのでコメントします
バージョン3.171とは古いMTですね
私は3.1は挑戦したがついにインストールできず
加藤先生の励ましでV3.3のインストールに成功、その後バージョンアップを重ね今はV4.23となってます（MTの最新はなんと4.24になってますが）
全くバージョンアップやサーバー変更は骨の折れる仕事ですね
私はDBのデーター移動はしないで、MTのデーターのエクスポートと画像データーのFTPでの吸い上げでデーターを取り出して、新しいMTにMTのデーターのインポートと画像データーのFTPでの画像データ移動し、MTの再構築でDBを作る方法でサーバー移動すればよいかと思います。
ただし、サーバーのディレクトリー構造を前のサーバーと同じにしておかないとまずいでしょうけど（当然URLも同じで）それでコメントやトラックバックもちゃんと引き継げるはずです。DBもMySQLなどへの変更も一緒に出来るはずですが。
V3.1はMTのデーターのエクスポート・インポートは出来無いのかな？
参考になればよいのですが
