火の用心

昨日の昼過ぎ、講習会を受講されている方からの報告がありました。

「黒い煙がもくもく上がってるけど」

見ると、道路を挟んだ隣の敷地内から確かに煙が上がっています。一人の職員が確認に走り、他の職場の人も入れて4人で消火器を持って、消火活動に当たりました。

内容量3kgの消火器を3本とそれより一回り大きいLPガス貯蔵施設に備え付けの2本、計5本の消火器で殆んど火は消えました。そして消防車の到着。

私は消火器2本からにした後、さっさと空の消火器を持って帰ってきましたが、他の人は聞き取り調査にかなりの時間を費やされた様子でした。まぁ、第一発見者では仕方ないですね。

はじめて訓練でない本物の火事(ぼや？)に対して消火器を使いましたが、その威力に驚きました。家にも1本買っておこうと思いました。しかし、周囲が見えなくなるほどの白煙(白い粉)には閉口したのも確かです。いや、実際は閉口してなかったようで、喉のいがらっぽさが一日消えませんでした。

空気が乾燥していますから、皆さんも火には注意してください。
