"Wine"のはなし
Wineと言えば、皆さんが思い浮かべるのはお酒のワインでしょう。
でも、Zukudasのメンバーにはソムリエさんがいるので、その人をさしおいてワインの話なんて出来ませんので、違うWineのはなし。
Wineというのは、UnixやLinux上でWindows用に開発されたソフトウェアを動かすシステムです。そんなことできるのか？と思う人が大半でしょう。
それに対する答えは、「出来るかもしれないし出来ないかもしれない」と言うことになります。動かしたいWindows用ソフトによって、動いたり動かなかったり。
実は、私のノートPCはLinuxで動いてますが、子供の使うソフトはWindows用のソフトです。これをWineで動かしてみると、なんと！ほぼ完全に動きました。
概して、シンプルなソフトの方が動くようですが、実は複雑そうな大きなソフトウェアも案外動くかもしれません。何せ、あの「一太郎」さえ、Wineを使ってLinux上で動くのですから。しかも、それは「一太郎 for Linux」として販売されてます。
まぁ、とにかく、私のノートPCではWindowsは要らなくなったという話しでした。takasunaでした。
