この３月に開業した平田駅です。駅前の広場にはこんな不思議なモニュメントがあります。

ミノ傘にトンボそして稲の穂！
まさに、信州の田園風景が浮かんできます。
今日、電気店で光通信を担当している方と話をさせて頂きました。その方は京都からあづみ野にあこがれて、何度も良い所、良い所と激賞されておりましたが、この田園風景も、遠い思い出の情景となる日も、そう遠くないかと思うと残念です。

風に吹かれてふらふらしています。このオブジェは案山子でもあり、やじろべえ？あるいは風見鶏？でもあるようです。

昨夜、今日着で依頼されていた発送をすっかり忘れていて、遅い時間になってヤマト運輸の塩尻の中継センターまで行ってきました。
昼間お客さまから、平田駅隣のツルヤの話や郵便局ともつながっているとか・・・丁度聞いたところでしたので、帰りは平田駅から帰りました。
11時過ぎで真っ暗閑散としていましたが周辺が変わっていて驚きました。
立派な駅で、このオブジェもありました。
佐藤先生の会社が真ん前で大きくてそれも驚きました。
道が変わるということはあっても、新しくJRの駅が出来るなんて想像もしていなかったでしょうね。
人の流れが変わってしまうので、商売をしている立場からすると、こわいなあーと思いました。

夜の１１時では人通りもなく、閑散としていたことでしょう。

ありがとうございます。
ソフト開発の仕事にはもったいないくらい立地に恵まれています。駅まで１分。コンビニや蕎麦屋をやったら良いのでは？ などと冗談を言っています。
ただ、飲食店が少ないので、お昼のお弁当を作ってもらえなかったときはたいへんです。乗降客も増えているので、ボチボチ食べ物屋さんもできてくることでしょう。
現在、久しく休業していた本屋さんが新築中です。

このオブジェは、「やじろべえ」をモチーフにしています。
新聞記事によると、この地区は昔は水源がなく、
農業を行っていくために、水の確保に苦労した歴史。
その不屈の精神を、
倒れないやじろべえに託したということです。
手には稲を持っています。
何も知らなければ、ただのかかしに見えるオブジェが、
知れば意味を持ったものに見える、
ということがおもしろいと思い投稿させていただきました。
