sitemapで検索エンジンの巡回を促進しよう

自然派中小企業診断士　佐藤です。昨夜は遅くまで、ズクダス何でも座談会にご参加いただきありがとうございました。

皆さまから多くのご質問をいただき、時間の関係から十分な対応ができなかったので、この場でフォローさせてください。

XHTML文法チェッカー

まず、HTML →　XHTML の移行の際の文法チェックツールのありかは Another HTML-lint gateway　です。

このゲートウェイは慶應義塾大学のITC本部？におかれています。

URLにチェックしたいサイトを指定して、チェックボタンをクリックすると、採点結果と解説が表示されます。XHTML化したサイト採点基準が厳しくなっています。点数が低くても、がっかりせずに頑張りましょう。それと福澤諭吉先生に感謝して使わせていただきましょう。

検索エンジンの巡回を促進するsitemap

次は、皆さんの反応が一番大きかったsitemapです。自分のサイトに置いておく案内地図＝ページ一覧としてのサイトマップと区別するため sitemap としています。

sitemapとは

Googleによると、 「Google サイトマップでは、最も重要なページやページの更新日など、サイト内のすべてのページに関する情報を Google に送信して、クロールの効率を高め、検索結果に最新のコンテンツを簡単に反映できます。」とのこと。

「Google サイトマップをご利用いただきますと、Google でサイトがどのように処理されているかについて把握できます。 たとえば、エラー情報 (ページのクロールに問題があるかどうか) や統計情報 (検索結果からサイトにアクセスしたユーザーが使用した検索クエリ) などを確認できます。」というメリットもあるようです。

Googleの最初のアナウンスによると、検索結果への影響はないとのことですが、巡回が促進されれば、それだけで効果がある　とも言えるのではないでしょうか。

sitemapを作る

最初に sitemap を作ります。独力で作る方法もありますが、たいへんなので便利なツールを利用しましょう。Googleも独自のツールを提供していますが、チョット面倒そうです。無料ブログの雄 FC2も sitemap の作成ツールを無料で、しかもFC2の利用者以外にも提供しています。

作成した sitemap はダウンロードし、自分のサイトのトップディレクトリにアップしておきます。作成した　sitemap は文字コードに UTF-8 が指定されています。メモ帳やWordで開くと文字コードが変わってしまうのでご注意を。

sitemapの登録方法

sitemapを利用するには、Googleアカウントへの登録が必要です。

アカウントを作成のページで、メールアドレスとパスワードを登録する必要があります。

アカウントを作成したら、ウェブマスター ツールにログイン。

サイトを追加の欄に、自分のサイトのトップページのURLを指定して、OKをクリック。これで sitemap は登録されました。

登録状況や巡回状況を確認するには、自分のサイトのトップページに指定されたメタタグを挿入するか、トップディレクトリに指定のファイル名の空ファイルをアップする必要があります。権限の問題もあるので、面倒ですがトップページに、指定されたメタタグを挿入することにします。

sitemapの確認設定

追加したサイトURLの右にある、サイトの確認ステータスをクリックし（多分　確認　となっていると思います）、確認方法を選択のリストボックスで、メタタグを挿入を選択すると枠線内にメタタグが表示されます。

このメタタグを自分のサイトのトップページに追加挿入すると、sitemap の状況が確認できるようになります。

sitemapのステータスを確認する

ログイン画面に戻り、サイト欄からURLをクリックして選択します。サイトマップタブをクリックすると、選択したサイトの最終ダウンロード日（サイトマップをGoogleが取得した日）、ステータス、登録されたページの数が確認できます。

この他にも、いろいろな情報が確認できるようですが、sitemap としては、ここまでとしておきます。では、また。
