意外な視点が答えを導く
階段は右から降りるか左からか
皆さんはいかがでしょうか
皆さんは階段を下りるとき、最初のステップを左足で踏み出しますか、それとも右足ですか。 加藤は左足です(笑い;実は最近、階段を下りるときに、どうしてもステップが 合わず右足で降りようとして凄く気持ちが悪かったからです。同様に、パンツをはくときには左足 から私ははきます（キッパリ）。
昔の記憶
座敷犬ダーリン
若いときにダーリンという変な名前の犬を飼っていた。この犬が変な犬で、柴犬くらいの大きさの犬の癖に座敷犬であり、 本当に我が家の座敷にいついていた。そんなある日、この犬が階段を上り始め2階にゆくようになった。 しかし、彼（オス犬）は階段が下りられずにオロオロしているのである。階段が上れるのに、降りられないことに私は 大きな疑問を覚えた。
暇な兄弟
私には弟がいる。この弟に私は相談した。そう、くだんの犬の話題である。「なぜ、犬は階段を 降りられないのか」この問題を正直に弟にぶつけてみたのである。あにはからんや、弟は、議論を打ち切り 「階段を下りてみよう」といった。そうして、私を２階につれてゆくと四つんばいで、階段を降り始めた。
兄さん、これは怖い！
階段を降り始めた弟が、「兄さん、これは怖い」といい始めた。そのため著者も、四つんばいで 階段を降りようとしてみて初めて気がついた。思ったより、大変、怖いのである。私は最初の段階で リタイアしたが、弟は四つんばいの姿勢のまま階段をすべておりてしまった。私たち兄弟は、この阿呆らしい 実験によって、はじめて犬の気持ちが分かったのである。
何気ない日常に発見がある。
人間は日常に生きている動物である
人間は結構、いい加減なものであり、さりげなく日常的行動を繰り返して行っていたり、あまり
深く物事を考えていないことがあり。くだんのパンツの話や階段の話、そして、犬の話などはその例である。
コンパクトカメラを使ってはじめて知る、紅葉の美しさの秘密
あるとき、デジタル一眼レフのコンパクトカメラを使って紅葉を撮影した。 ちょうど４年前のことだろうか。たしか、１１月に高知のから電車で滋賀に回る途中で、京都に立ち寄り 竜安寺で紅葉を見た。美しいと思ったがコンパクトカメラで撮影したものの、出来上がった写真は、 自分の紅葉のイメージとは大違いだった。
その失敗を通して私は次のことを発見した。
- 1.紅葉の美しさは、色彩に負うものではない
- 2.紅葉の美しさは、色彩を透過する光の美しさである
- 3.このため、紅葉は半逆光のなかで美しさを奏でる
- 4.コンパクトカメラでは、平均的な測光なので、半逆光の露光を実現できない

このため、美しい逆光を撮影したという欲望をかなえるために、デジタル一眼レフを購入しなければ と考えるようになった。 |

まとめに
同様のことが、ひまわりにも言える、我々人間はひまわりを下から見上げることが多い。 だから、ひまわりを上から見下ろすと、意外性を感じる。その意外性が驚きを生み感動を生む。
体験しなければわからないことがある。無論、問題解決に当たって仮説を持って問題に取り組む 必要性は感じている。しかし、体験してみ理想どおりにゆかないことが多いことに気がつく。 そんなとき、そこで諦めるのではなく「なぜ上手く行かないのだろう」と一歩踏み出して考える ことが大変重要であり、新たなノウハウを生む根源と成るのではないだろうか。
