Yahoo!JAPANが10月から大幅リニューアル

　花の金曜日を前に、早くも少し２日酔い気味の宿澤です。何となく酒が弱くなった気がします。これから関与先の企業さんへ、IT講習会に行ってきます。酒臭いと言われなければいいけど・・・。

　さて、金曜日担当としてまじめ（？）な話をします。Yahoo!JAPANが10月から大幅リニューアルされます。何を今更といわれてしまうかもしれませんが、インターネットにかかわる仕事をしている以上、Yahoo!JAPANの動きはどんなことでも重大事項になる可能性があるので、動きの確認と、動きの後の検証をする必要があると思っています。

　まず、どんな動きがあるのかというと、現在のカテゴリ登録サイトが優先的に表示される検索方式から、YST(Yahoo Serch Techology)によるロボット型検索エンジンの検索結果をデフォルトで表示する方式に変更されます。現在ベータ版として公開されている検索ページがベースとなるようです。現在、Yahoo!JAPANにディレクトリ登録されており、Yahoo!JAPANからのアクセスが特に多いサイトは、何らかの影響を受ける可能性がありそうであります。

　具体的には、以下のような表示順になります。

＜現行＞
　１.カテゴリとの一致
　２.登録サイトとの一致
　３.ページとの一致

＜10月以降＞
　３.ページとの一致　を前面に出す。

　これを聞くと、Yahoo!JAPANへのディレクトリ登録は意味が薄くなってしまう気がします。

　実は、私の事務所のサイトは、この9/1にYahoo!JAPANにディレクトリ登録されました。もちろん申請した段階で、10月にYahoo!JAPANが大幅リニューアルされることは聞いていました。でも、あえてディレクトリ登録を申請したのです。

　Yahoo!JAPANの話によると、今後も以下の２点でリニューアル後もディレクトリ登録のメリットはあると言っています。ひとつは、Yahoo!JAPANのようにアクセスの多いサイトからリンクを得る事はSEO対策の有効な手段の一つである、とのこと。もうひとつは、カテゴリ登録していると、商品データを専用のフォームから無料申請することによって、Yahoo!商品検索にヒットする、とのことです。Yahoo!商品検索とは、現在のベータ版にもあるので、試してみてください。ネット上の商品カタログというイメージかなと思います。また、これは私の意見ですが、登録サイトの検索も引き続きできるので、検索結果が、人が審査しているというサイトであるという安心感も残ると思います。

　実は、私の事務所のサイト状況をみてみると、Yahoo!JAPANに登録を申請した日の翌日（8/28）から大幅にヒット数が増えました。ここで注意をしていただきたいのは、登録された日（9/1）から、大幅にヒット数が増えたわけではないという事実です。申請した日の8/28というのは、審査に備えて以下を行いページをアップした日です。。

・余分なタグを消した。
・スタイルシートを外部ファイル化した。
・キーワードによるページの一致を施した。

なおかつ、運がよい事にGoogleのクローラーがサイトに訪れてくた日でもあります。

　実はYahoo!JAPANへの登録を前後して、ヒット数が最も伸びたのはGoogleからなのです。Yahoo!JAPANが約10％の伸び、Googleはなんと50％の伸びです。ちなみに、MSNは7％の伸びでした。もともと、Googleのヒットが悪かった事もありますが、やはりYahoo!JAPANのようにページランクの高いサイトからのリンクは意味があり、また、SEOを意識したHTMLは今更ながらヒットを高めるということが、またしても、証明されたと感じました。

　今のところの結論は、Yahoo!JAPANへのディレクトリ登録はサイトのヒット数アップに効果があるということです。ただし、10月にYahoo!JAPANがリニューアルしてから、再度検証することを忘れてはいけないと思います。それは報告させていただきます。
